i just made this because I got bored, but how does it actually look? Good? Decent? Bad? Awful?

Looks nice, you could add light beams to the ceiling lights, and where the pillars on each side arch up you could align them with the white bottom part of the pillar [Shown in black boxs]. But overall good work!

I mean, the lighting looks fine to me, nothing looks messy or tacky. It looks great!
