I am building a castle and I’m in need of assistance with the interior mapping.
Questions
Should I make the walls wider?
Should I make a mini town on the inside?
Where would everything go?
What material and color should the floor of the insides of the gates be?
Some great ideas that were given to me: @Sentross
“With big spaces like this, I have always found it intimidating. So what I did was created the rooms individually in a new studio, got the rooms finished. Then I tried to put them and fit them in the space.”

"I recommend the flooring be Medium Stone Grey cobblestone (To aim as a Medieval Style). The walls are wide enough and plenty of space for structures inside. I recommend the king’s area in the middle and other buildings next to the wall.
I also recommend adding moss or vines on the walls to show an old kind of look.

Then I created all the connecting hallways and stuff with the same style.

Hmm interesting, it does really depend what you’re building though. For intense I am just building the outside gates, after that I will put in the castle and apply your strategy to my main castle build. Appreciate the tip.
Wow! This is great feedback. I will of course use the moss and vine idea of yours! Thank you so much. If I looked at old castle builds, they usually have dirt and maybe a cobblestone path, but to make my entire interior stone would make me lose ideas for lots of detail.
Yeah you can do that. You can also use it for the town inside. A lot of builders in and out of ROBLOX do this. They take small assets and big assets like buildings and just put them together and in your environment.
But as for your question of where would things go. I’d recommend the castle of the left of the right, with the town on the opposite side.
Hi, thank you so much for so much feedback! You’ve helped a lot on other topics too (of mine)! I was just quite unclear of how you suggest positioning the castle. You suggest “the left of the right” apologies for my lack of comprehension may you please clarify that part for me?
Lol, I found some pictures online it seems in the picture below there isn’t a town on the inside. I was maybe thinking putting the village on the outside and only the castle on the inside. What do you think? Is this image just not showing the building on the inside?
