As the title says, I am currently developing a soccer game and I believe that creating a good stadium ambiance gets the interest of players. For that reason, first of all I am planning to fill the stadium with audience. I have planned to create 15-20 celebration-idle animations where each of them will be played by those audience randomly according to events happening in the game. However the fact that there will be around 400-500 NPC’s to achieve my goal makes me think whether this will create performance issues or not.
I tried to look for a way to animate a character without adding a humanoid in it as I heard that the humanoid part is the one that causes lag and such, but seems like there is no way to achieve it without adding it.
Do you think that something like this can cause a performance problem and if it will, what would you suggest me to do?
