I need help Texturing

Hi! I am quite new to modeling and developing as a whole, starting at the beginning of the summer; however, I am in need assistance in texturing the models I create.

At the moment, most, if not all, of my models go untextured or have just simple color textures, and I would like any tips for how to get better at making things seem less as if I had just painted it on there (which technically I had, but the point still stands)

I use Blender, and whenever I try to do any in-depth texturing, such as text, it always ends up looking quite bad.

I also know that most jobs require, or would appreciate it if, modelers could texture their own models, so I must learn to get better and make things more realistic and less like I drew it on.

All tips are helpful

Ucupaint add-on is very simple to learn and use, it allows you to make different layers, add textures, colors and images to your mesh. There are a lot of tutorials on youtube you should try it
