I am not positive on what you are referring to, but I think your meaning the whole mechanic. If I am wrong my apologies. The machinic itself is known as a gatcha in a slot machine style.

Gatcha, a form a soft gambling mainly for games, popular games like CSGO and Genshin Impact use it.
