I’m soon going to start doing commissions, and I need a showcase place to show my clients just what I can do as a builder. Now usually this would be an easy task but I have no creativity. I’ve literally been searching for inspiration for months and I have nothing that piques my interest. I think most builders know that not everything is fun to build and I think I can really produce better things if it’s a build I’m enjoying doing. I remember years ago when I had inspiration I was able to build for hours on end but I just don’t have skill anymore. Thank you all for your help!
I usually go on Google and find concept arts;
Medieval and Asian builds are usually pretty cool. Not sure if this ‘showcase’ is low poly based or details using different types of materials.
I’m more suited for detailed build but that’s a great suggestion. Thanks!
I highly suggest looking up [worldtype] concept art in google. It comes up with a ton of results, and Im sure you will find some there. I always struggle with inspiration, and this is how I work over it. Tumblr is also a great resource.
You could make something epic or holy. For example, you could build a ruined ancient roman village (also adding the historical buildings in a ruined state). Maybe something soothing and relaxing? You could make a highly detailed small cute cottage in a mystical forest too!
I’m really bad at making large scale builds, so I’m trying to find more singular object or just one detailed thing.
I’ll definitely give this a shot. Thanks for your response!
Roblox is all about inspiration it dosent matter what theme it is most do historical or mostly represent a era or place they desire
If you can’t do large scale builds, then maybe you could just go with the highly detailed small cottage that I mentioned. Good luck on your progress!
You should start by making small things, like towns, cities. Then move to bigger things like schools, plain fields, and make things that you don’t see in Roblox common, like libraries, stores, and anything that pops in, your mind. I hope I stayed on topic.
