Hello developers. One of the biggest problems with me is motivation. I have been learning roblox since I was 9 and I know I can script a fully functional game, but its just so hard to stay motivated all the time. Pretty much every single game that is in my scripting knowledge I will try to make. One of my favorites are story games. What happens is I keep playing story games but then I get bored of them. So then if I get bored playing story games, I get bored making story games. This has been going on for a long time, and I want to stop this habit. So I came here to the dev forum to ask you what I should do to stop this habit and stay motivated making my games.
I have tried many different strategies but they don’t work.
Also I don’t know if this is on the right category and my post just got flagged because it was on the wrong category so please tell me if I am in the wrong category

I have an idea. This happens to me all the time. Make smaller projects. You get burned out making these massive games, just make something simple.

Sorry for responding late. A simple story game may be a short story game or a simple concept. Like an adventure or a mystery. Just keep it simple.

Think of how cool your game would be when it’s finished, the satisfaction with a fully finished project far outweighs the struggle making the game, plus how are you going to make robux from a game if you never publish it.

It’s always hard to keep up the motivation, and no need to worry, that happens with the most of us, there’s some things you can try to do to maybe not keep you motivated but to keep working in your projects without needing to be very motivated, you could try to see those story games you’re bored of as a goal to reach or a challenge, something that you don’t only want to replicate, but to also make it better, the same concept but in a more original way, using your ideas mixed with the ideas of what has been made. Just because something gets boring after a while, which happens with all type of games at some point, it doesn’t mean that someone can come out of nowhere with a new idea to revive that certain type of games! And that person could be you!

Sometimes finding devs to work on your game can sometimes help you with motivation and sometimes you cant always start big otherwise thats how you lose motivation you could make testing games or small projects to help you learn but to keep up motivation if your having fun with developing thats how you can keep up the motivation or people in general could help motivate you.

Try something completely different. Shake up the Roblox community with a completely new concept. Other than that, make small goals, and if you get burnt out, take a few days off. Start slow, so you don’t get burnt out. In my experience, some days I have no motivation, and others I have a great idea and spend 8 hours making it. Just ride the waves of motivation.
