I want studs on unioned blocks, can't use studs on union. Any way to work around?

I want the studs but don’t want the clipping, when I union the blocks they get rid of the studs and I am unable to place them back onto the union.

As far as I know, there is no way to add studs to the unions, I had this same problem on a project I was working on but didn’t found a way to do it.

A workaround that kinda works is getting the Stud texture and texturing the union with it. Not sure if that exactly works though.

You could add a Texture to the top of the union with a stud texture for the image
