I want to be more creative and efficient.. but how exactly?

I like simple but efficient solutions, but I don’t really have ideas myself to be much creative.
I know I can get game ideas easily, but the execution of these ideas are usually hard and, well doesn’t end how I imagined them.

On the other hand, my problem is usually not getting any idea for a specific problem/part of a project I am working on. How could I improve my creativity, therefore speeding up my process on a project?

Additional comments, encouragements or tips are pretty appreciated since I’M loosing hope in my projects…

If you don’t have a creative solution in mind for a specific feature, I highly recommend talking to friends and others who may have creative ideas. Creativity is hard to force, but others, collectively speaking, have many ideas! I have done this before and it has been very helpful to hear from others on ideas related to the game.
