I would like more early feedback on my Old Roblox simulator!

Hello everybody!

I’ve been working on this game for a week or so, and I want to get some constructive feedback on the game.

Give suggestions if you have any!

(please note, the game is still in very early development, so expect bugs and other issues)

What is the game? Well, the game is a simulation of Old Roblox, specifically around late 2008 to early 2009.

What things are planned? A few things planned for the game are: A way to mute lobby music, a feedback menu, a way to create games via an in game studio, descriptions for games, and a few more which will not be listed here for the sake of readability.

Thanks!

Great usage of UI to capture the essence of Old Roblox, I enjoyed playing around with the user interphase on this game.

Yet, I have a few things to point out…

  • The mouse being transparent bothered me at the start and it would be 100% better if the mouse was filled with a solid color rather than being transparent.

  • Disable Shiftlock (only in lobby/hub place, for games it is alright)

  • Add a line under those when the mouse hovers over them so they remain consistent with the rest of your UI:

  • UI scaling issues:

  • Adding badges or rewards to engage the players even more (Optional)

  • Does not suit aesthetic, the red background color does not match and complement your primarily blue theme, and the colors green and yellow here are not eye pleasing (lighten them up a bit)

That does not mean your game is not well, I actually really enjoyed it myself. The way you skillfully used UI and made sure that it resembles your objective is amazing! Keep it up, and would like to see more implementation of games, and the completion of the Builders Club system. Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback! UI Scaling issues are definitely going to be fixed when the game is finished.

Underlining the To Do area is gonna happen in the next update.

Shiftlock will likely also be disabled game wide since it did not exist in 2009.

Inconsistency in the UI will also be changed to fit the game much better!

As for the mouse being transparent, maybe it could be full in the lobby but ingame it will likely stay the same as that is how it behaved on the older versions of Roblox.
