Ice Kingdom!

This is for my game, Ultimate Space Heroes which will be an MMORPG. The castle in the middle is a free model which I used as a place holder so I can get the gist of things whilst I’m moulding the terrain,
The terrain wasn’t generated and took me about 3 hours to form so far.
The world is about 70% done so far.
The gears will be the gears that will be able to be won or bought during quests, missions or from stores in the ice kingdom.

Feedback and ideas are both welcome and appreciated.
Constructive Criticism only please  :swag:

One word: Damn.

I mean, some of the parts, like the train and portal sort of ruin it, but other than that it’s pretty good.

Whenever I attempt to join the game gets shut down.

It looks really good! My only concern is the train. Why is there a big train?

The train is there for the child audience. I thought it’d be a cool addition and bring more life to the world rather than everything being still.
After all, Snow is linked with the holidays and Train Sets are usually given to kids during the holidays. I’ll be adding more detail to it over time and making it fit in more with the terrain with supports under the tracks.

Edit: Good Idea or na?

Usually with each given map (seemingly, your making multiple for universes) you want a certain theme. The theme for this ice kingdom is well, ice, snow, and is a kingdom. You want it as cold looking as possible with little life (because not many people live in frozen biomes). The train and it’s colors don’t help that and also clash with the ice/snow look. It contrasts severely.

Maybe if I made the train move slower and made its colours duller and added an ice texture, it would seem more…
fitting.

I don’t see why not.

I changed it a lot. Come and have a look now? USH - Roblox

Very cool! I love the portal

Wow, these snowflakes create a lot of lag :frowning: They use expensive spherical meshes and keep creating/removing parts.

Have you tried using ParticleEmitter instead?

Particle emitters don’t cause the same effect, we tried first off with particle emitters which were the reason we started making them, the parts make them seem effected by wind when you move around and they can’t be viewed from the inside of a building looking outside like the parts do, however they don’t cause lag on my MacBook Air, so I don’t see how it would cause lag for anyone else

The portal is a free model and is being re built, I used it to give me an idea, same with the castle
