Ideas for 3D Layered Clothing Gore System

Hey guys, I have been trying to come up with ways in which I could implement gore with 3D layered clothing. Let me explain. So essentially because mesh deformation is not built like unions therefore negation properties don’t apply (Lack of Vertices editing in studio. P.S. Roblox pls make this a feature), I wanted to see if you could give me some ideas for how I could make the layered clothing in certain parts of the body, disappear or get detached from the main layered clothing. This would allow me to make it so when a player’s arm gets blown off by a shotgun, that clothing part of the arm would also detach or become invisible.

I wanted to see what you all could suggest such that I can implement into my game without having to create different damaged bodies with different layered clothings etc.

The solutions that I’ve seen from people have been

  1. Just use Roblox default non-layered clothing (2D)
  2. Just create clothing for each part of the body

Problems with the solutions I listed:
Both are unrealistic looking clothing’s and are not very malleable.

3D layered clothing already has slight problems, and sometimes just bugs out. How will you be able to implement it with 3D clothing? I’m not sure if you can create 3D clothing by itself but you will have to affect the body part’s size and stuff and even if you took a full body suit and turned it to match the skin then it will just look like bends. But, 3D layered clothing is not reliable. Be careful to not exceed the gore limitations!

Gore limitations shouldn’t be a problem since by default it will be disabled unless manually toggled on by a player who is 13 or over. We are already adhering to Roblox’s policies, however, the gore is tremendously advanced.
