Hello Everyone! Me and My friend Are making a Simulator game (Knowing that It might aswell just fail since simulator games are boring and stuff) But we still need some new ideas! Instead Of coins and gems, What should there be? Which maps should there be? (Currently there are 4 maps: Forest , Snow , mud , Volcano)
Is there anything else that can make this game unique?
I think one of the things that simulator games lack is a good change in the gameplay. I get it, they add ârebirthsâ or new âzonesâ but It would be interesting to see something like maybe you could add quests that players are forced to interact with to progress higher. Maybe they could search through areas to find items, maybe get certain types of a pet, or even do something like complete a obstacle course or something like that, just something that seems âobscureâ for simulator games that you donât see much do. Add gameplay elements you donât see in other games.
Ridiculous.
Your core is âPet Sim X Themeâ?
That means your core is someone elseâs game⊠LOL
And plus, thousands of games are already using it, so tiny chance to suceed with it.
Iâve seen way to much people (including old me) saying that weâll make the game unique somehow, but if you canât word it in a few sentences, 60 words max, it means, youâre core is unstable and this is very very crucial, you must rethink it.
Good luck!
I wouldnât say its a bad thing to base your game off another game to some extent, however, this is a big game that is already on Roblox, gets a lot of criticism, and has countless clones already, so you definitely need to reconsider some things. Simulator games as a whole are a really oversaturated market, so you need to have what makes it unique be the core of the game.
Iâve definitely made my fair share of games based off of other games, however, most of them were based more with a genre in mind than an actual, individual game (Tycoon simulator, The Impossible Spire, and a few others were all games I made based off an a genre as a whole).
Also, even if youâre focusing on a whole genre rather than one individual entry, you still definitely need to keep in mind what is going to be unique about it. I look forward to seeing the growth of your game, good luck!
