I do not know too much about roblox performance and stuff like that, but I am planning to build a big city/map & I want to make the city be big but also not lag. In this scenario, would meshes or parts be better?
Mesh are better than Union parts, they have a lot less triangles
I bought a city pack from unity asset store, the whole city was meshes and was too laggy, I started converting the buildings to just parts with decals on them, and it runs so much faster…doesnt look as cool, but runs way better.

The buildings of the unity store should certainly not be optimized for roblox studio, haven’t you looked at their composition on Blender?
