There are some good parts, but also some bad parts.

For the good, I must say that the environment is decent. I can tell the trees in the background (not the foreground) are just 2D, but it is not so obvious that it greatly hurts the rest of the graphic. The only major thing I would recommend would be to bring some of the scenery in the foreground to a higher polycount, because it feels too low poly for a realistic render currently.

The soldiers and effects in this GFX, however, are not good. I can tell by the green haze around the camera that (I think) you’re trying to go for a night-vision camera watching them type effect. If that’s the case, then it should be noted that night-vision acts more like putting a flat green filter on everything and amplifying existing light. That’s not how it works on a technical level of course, but it’s been a while since I looked into it.

Why is there a glowing green light in front of the soldiers? The infrared light that NODs emit (if they emit at all) is only visible through other night vision devices; if you are looking through a night-vision camera then I can give credit for that, but even if so it would look more white rather than green due to the light magnification. Also, if the soldiers are using NODs, then why are they flipped up on their heads? I’m not sure they would be useful in that position.

I’m not sure why the soldiers are wearing gas masks if there is unlikely to be a gas threat in this scene. Gas masks are difficult to breathe through which would make it difficult to hike through the forest as they’re doing. Lastly, I think this GFX would benefit from layered clothing instead of the flat clothing it currently has.

I’d recommend that you look more into how NODs work if you’re going for a realistic look. I can’t describe everything that well.

Hello,

The so called “green light” in front of the solider is a NVG (Night Vision Goggle), when worn the goggles are green, putting it on in on the day won’t show the light unless you click a button, the night vision goggle was designed like that,

Your welcome.

I know that night vision is green, but what I’m pointing out is that they don’t shine a deep green light out the back that’s visible to the naked eye. If you’re looking through an infrared-sensitive device, you can see a dim light as shown in this Wikimedia image shining from the back of the goggles, but what this GFX is showing is not correct in it just being a green light visible with the naked eye (unless as I said he intends for the camera to be night-vision). If NODs emitted that much light from behind by virtue of being on, they would not be very useful anymore. You might as well just have a flashlight.

Also, why the soldiers are wasting battery on their night-vision by having it on while they’re flipped up doesn’t make sense for the GFX unless it was intended to be flipped down.

Sorry if I come off as rude, I’m writing this pretty late. If you still disagree than you can send me some evidence in DMs and I’ll update my post. I don’t want to drag this thread off topic with debate.
