On my new project every sponsor that we’ve done has performed with good ctr, but a terrible amount of impressions. Is there a reason for the low impressions/what could we do to fix it?
Before our full release we did test sponsors of 30k, 3 times. These performed decently well and after the end of the 3 days we were averaging 200 ccu and were averaging 6M impressions per 1k robux. Our target audience is female, mobile, 13+. On full release day we spent 200k on sponsors, this was able to bring our peak players from 300 to 700. Obviously a bad outcome when spending 200k.
We’ve tried different icons for each update, different target audiences, but since full release we have not been getting anywhere close to the impressions as before. Of course a different sponsor amount for each could change impressions/ctr, but that big a change isn’t reasonable.

Just looking at your first 2 samples, you have July 23,24 (Sat/Sun), and a CTR of .004% compared to August 9,10 (Tues/Wed) with a CTR of 1.625.
I’ve only run ads for about 2000$R, usually on weekends, and probably only 20-30 times. I’ve been really happy with a CTR of 1%, but I don’t think I’ve ever had something as low as .004%.
The ad images look good, but are they too similar to another popular pet game? Players may see your ads and assume they’ve already played the game in that case.
Another thing is if you oversaturate the ads on a player’s screen then they may assume that your game is trying too hard to advertise, so maybe ‘less is more’.
This has also occoured to me!
My ctr was very bad on my other game, but I got tons of impressions.
But now my ctr is super good, but i get very little impressions
