I'm making a game guys!

Well, I’m not trying to replace RCL, just make a game that transcends that style of gameplay while still appealing to the clanbags.

Oh, I see. If you’re looking for inspiration as far as this goes, look at “Hex.” “Clanbags” were certainly a major audience in that game.

I am looking at that game, as well as others for inspiration. I got this whole kinda Hex crossed with Gears of War kinda feel right now, and I think I’m going to be pushing in that direction as far as basic gameplay goes.

Another tip if you’re making games to appeal to that specific audience is to make sure your game is playable even on bad computers. Whereas smaller, less involved and serious, children are just fine lagging a bit, people involved with the Clans will not like the game at all. I think this is why you may notice the current RCL environment includes very basic building structures with no textures and almost no detail with the weaponry.

I’ve got the whole think kinda planned out. I want to have it slammed full of gameplay features while still being relatively light, and I think I am having a decent time of it. My currently rig is a mid-range laptop from 2011 and it runs just fine. I still will need to do playtesting and whatnot when I get to that point, but for now it runs pretty nice.

This is nice. I like the fluent switching of tools in your inventory as well as the laser bullets firing from the gun. Makes it feel really futuristic like Hex is. Can’t wait to see the rest of this game, kudos to the developer. :smiley:

Thanks man. It really warms the hole where my heart is supposed to be that people like my stuff (not sarcasm btw).

I’m actually the only guy working on it, so it’s gonna be interesting getting a playable alpha ready for Q2 2017.
