I think the perfect ambiance you are looking for is animal/bug noises.
For a night to day transition, an owl hooting or a distant crow cawing is the perfect match.
As for a day to night transition, crickets are your best bet.

you should use a warm synthesizer(an edm instrument), because I personally think that at the right volume, it’s really creepy
