Are you moving the Attachment in the player or in the hair?
I think you’re supposed to set up the attachment in the hair to match up with where the attachment is on the Player, not the other way around.

i moved both to the same position but i think they keep going back to their original spots

Try leaving the one in the player, since it automatically resets whenever the player is created.

Do you have the Rotation of the Attachment in the hair (the yellow and orange arrows) facing the same way as the arrows in the player’s Attachment? Again, don’t move or rotate the player’s Attachment.

Instead, reposition the attachment of the accessory. Modifying the one on the character is more tedious than it seems to be. Although it still confuses me how it still “springs” back to original position in the previous reply by the OP.

basically, i move the attachment and when i spawn in and select the character to play as, the hair starts floating above the head

“basically, i move the attachment”
Which of the two Attachments are you talking about, the one in the hair, or the one in the player? You have to be really specific with information if you want us to help you out.

i moved the attachment in the hair-

Have you tried moving the Attachment in the hair up about 0.15 studs since it appears to be changing by that much in the picture?

Wait, I just looked at the images and the hair seems to be Scaled much taller in the 2nd picture. That could be your issue.
