Today, I added Immersive Ads into my game, World War Tycoon. There are about 1-2 billboards shown at each tycoon/base, for a total of 12-24 billboards per game (depending if it is the single player or two player place).
However, since adding them, ads never show, as seen below, from the view of my main account and one of my alternate accounts.
Now, per this part of the documentation page, my ads are “inactive” and not “invalid,” meaning I did not do anything wrong on my part, but I find it hard to believe that two of my accounts, which are both 13+ (even 18+ iirc), are not being shown ads.
I literally just added this to my game 10-15 minutes ago, so maybe it’s taking some time to load?
Personally I’ve noticed that immersive ads don’t always show. I’ve seen a lot of blank billboards around games, even maybe more blank ones that contain adverts. I am unsure exactly how they work so haven’t got a clue why it’s doing this. It’s not just you though, don’t worry.
I have 6 billboards in my game, although I don’t even have the option to enable Immersive Ads in the game settings. I wish Roblox did a better job at Immersive Ads.
Good question, when they first came out I had originally added them because they were enabled. But since then the option has disappeared. I’m just going to leave them for now, as I’m contemplating adding Admerse or BloxBiz.
Why don’t you set all the billboards in your game to Immersive Ads, then use fallback images for when the ads are turned off? Makes you more Robux, and also won’t waste space when they aren’t in use.
I believe it is either a shortage of advertisements from advertisers or there are just either too many requests for ads at one time in the game and they are falling back.
Immersive Ads are only as immersive as the advertisers.
It seems you already have Immersive Ads, but what he is referencing is the Fallback Image Property which allows for something other than what you see in your examples as the basic Roblox Icon and display an image of choice if the AdGui is Inactive.
