Import 3d is importing my mesh wrong

Why does the Import 3d thingy import my model like this? The faces arent the only wrong thing the right hand has some positioning issues. How do I resolve this?

Simple solution is to rig this in Roblox Studio and not import it rigged. This may take longer but would solve your issue.

For the left hand, I think you know this but the faces are inverted. Simple fix: in Edit Mode, select the object, then hit “Shift + N”

Also, I think the hands are the wrong way around lol…

Well thats the issue. The hands are perfectly fine in blender. Normals and everything. Plus the bones all work in the import but still the right hand is ugly. I kinda fixed it be inverting the faces so the right hands faces are wrong but importing them makes it right. the only Issue now is the position of the palm messing up but I yet have to find a way to fix it. Then again for my purposes the right hand ist really visible so I dont really care. But thanks anyways.

Did you mirror the hands in Blender?
I’ve never done rigging before so I’m just guessing, but do Bones get Mirrorred the same? By that I mean if the RH palm mesh is reversed correctly, are the bones are just transferred over from the LH palm but are still rigged according to the LH placement/orientation?

The reason I’m suggesting it is because I’m wondering if this is the same type of issue (not saying it’s the cause of your problem, just that it sounds like a similar type of issue) as mirroring plugins can have. Some mirroring plugins in Roblox can mirror a Model and the physical Constraints of a Model, but the Attachments get placed according to the original so the Constraints get messed up.

Would it be possible to elaborate on the positioning issue, from the photo it looks like everything is correct?

So basically I mirrored the cube and the armature but renamed everything.

of course - my bad - here is what it looks like

you see the palm is slightly shifted left

Try checking where the origin point was when you mirrored the hand, could be that the origin you mirrored the palm on is different to the rest of the hand.

I mirrored the whole arm in blender and also the model is completely fine in blender

please can you show me an image of the blender version

Really random, but try copy and paste into a new blender then retry exporting from there. Had something like this happen and this fixed it

worth a shot
