First of all, it’s not a scaling problem. I am aware of scaling issues and can scale the animation along the mesh.
The mesh and animations works perfectly in 3ds Max; all animations function as expected there. When I import the mesh into Studio, it looks good. However, when I try to upload the animations, they exhibit extra, strange movements. The most problematic one is the death animation, which you can see in the gif.
Is there a known solution for this issue? It has taken me three days, and I’ve tried numerous different approaches, including exporting to Blender and then attempting to export to Studio, as well as using different versions of the FBX exporter.
Dropping this here for anyone still looking for a fix:
FBX animation export is… mid. Like, it technically works, but the results are super inconsistent. The better solution is to skip FBX entirely and use the Animation Exporter plugin.
I wrote a full guide on the Blender ↔ Roblox pipeline (Bone + Motor6D-compatible, IK/FK, switching, all that good stuff):
Yeah, I’ve been linking this a lot lately - but only because it actually helps, and I wish someone had handed me this exact info back when I was suffering.
