Importing Blender Textures

Firstly I know there are other channels about this. I have looked at most of them. I have spent literally 5 hours scanning the internet, watching YouTube and doing the average blender experience pain on trying to export a simple texture. All help is appreciated!
My main reference is this video- How to IMPORT MESHES with TEXTURES | HowToRoblox - YouTube

This here is my model.

And this is the final texture thingy.

I have followed EVERY step in the tutorial (I know this because I’ve watched it a dozen times and done it a dozen times ‘(The definition of stupid is doing something again and again expecting different results?)’

Anyways the final product of me adding it as a texture ID looks like this-

Thanks again I appreciate you taking the time to look into my issue.

So there are two ways I know that work with importing textures with blender.

FBX importing
When you have the UV setup properly. If you export the model as a .FBX (make sure only selection is on) and import it to the studio using the import mesh button. It should import with the textures/color you used.

Decal textures
If you import to studio using the regular .OBJ then upload your UV (texture thingy) as a decal to the Roblox. When in studio and the decal has been accepted insert the decal numbers into the meshid part when model lis highlighted.

The guy in the video used the decal method so FBX may work. No idea what could be causing an issue without seeing what your blender uv etc looks like. Hope this helps

Hi, thanks for replying. I have a few questions.
What do you mean by ‘only selection is on’?
Also is this what you mean by ’ import it to the studio using the import mesh button’? (I’ve been clicking export)

If I import this error comes?
WOW THE DECAL THING WORKED.
5 minutes later after lying in the floor making carpet angels.

There might be a displaced pixel or something at the bottom, but wow.
Thank you. You are a life saver. :grinning: You made my day. Best of Luck!

Aye! nice. also just to answer your question on Only selection and import meshes button.

The image below is what you get when exporting from Blender. If you look near the top there’s a button ticked properly called Selected objects. Which only export what I have selected.

Import meshes is in asset manager and helps upload multiple meshes at once or if uploaded as a FBX all in one. Beware uploading multiple as you could get a warning from Roblox
