Importing Builds into Blender with Materials

When importing a build into Blender, none of the materials seem to come with the build.

Example:
Roblox Studio:

Blender:

Is there an easy way to get builds into Blender with the materials for rendering in Blender? The example above is small, but for realistic needs there would be a lot to import.

I’m not experienced with Blender, so maybe there’s something I don’t know that I’m supposed to be doing to attach the materials.

You’d have to export each texture as an fbmx file and then put it into the model in blender.
You could also select “Use Nodes” in the property tab (right-hand corner), then look below the Surface selection button, you will see a color selection button, on its right you should see a circle button. Select the circle button and choose “Image Texture.” Select the image button to the right of the “open” (and not the open button itself) and then select the Handle1.tex files that downloaded when you exported the model as an obj.

I believe @maplestick made a really good Roblox materials node set for Cycles Render.

Everything you said sounds very weird. The problem isn’t that the textures don’t connect in Blender, the problem is that material textures don’t export from Studio at all. This is unintended behaviour since Studio received a feature last year that automatically exports and attaches textures when imported into Blender.

Pretty sure this is a duplicate post as I remember someone raising this concern about studio no longer exporting material textures before.

This was a question on how to do it with ease. Not a complaint of it not working. I wasn’t aware the intended behavior automatically does it.

This answer is answering a question about exporting from Blender and importing it into Roblox. Completely different case.

Apologizes, switched the two up.
