Importing character models

I want to import a playable 3D model.

  1. does the model have to look like the roblox models?
  2. is there a tutorial on how to make the model playable?

Not too experienced with this but you may need to import the model in separate parts (arms, head, torso, legs, etc.) then create a custom rig.

First make sure you export each thing separately, like arms, legs, head etc. Making sure that each part is under 10k triangles. When in studio make sure to import all of these in and called them right arm, left leg etc. Make sure there is a humanoidRootPart and a Humanoid. Then group it and call it StarterCharacter and drag this into StarterPlayer. This should work, although just looking through google and youtube you would probably find a way to do it.
