Importing mesh with bones didn't bring bones over to studio?

I’m trying to learn how to add bones to a mesh, that way I can bring it into studio and animate with it.

For the sake of testing, I just did one leg

Exported as FBX file. Then Avatar Importer>Custom and imported the mesh.

This is what I got

And when I try opening the Animation Editor and selecting the model, I get this error
