Improve "Authorized Extensions"

The authorized extensions is meant to prevent uploading malicious extensions, but it causes problems for some types of documents on the forum, such as:

I am not really sure what should be done, since the options range from adding more files to the whitelist, changing it to a blacklist for things like executable files, or just removing it all-together. The current system is limiting enough where this should be addressed rather than being required to host files in other services.

Supporting everything apart from archive file formats like .zip; .7z and so on for the risk of uawrs bypassing the restrictions by using ZIP files.

I still have relevant trust in the community, it’s something that would be a higher risk

Agreed. Other media formats such as .mov and .mp4 should be added as well.

Blocking file extensions is pointless because I can just do this:

Stuff.zip (140 Bytes)

or without any trickery just provide a dropbox/google drive link. I believe another concern was that files like .blend are larger, but we have a maximum file size (and can be further lowered if necessary), so that doesn’t matter.

This would definitely be a great change. Having to use dropbox/google drive as a proxy for attachments is annoying.
