How can I make this laser door more realistic. It looks static and completely outdated

Use Beams for a much better laser effect.
You could also add some extra detail onto the door frame (wall control or something).

not a builder but maybe add some materials. those laser shooter things like astrovue suggested.
and also the geometry seems a bit too simple for the door imo so if you want maybe you can add more details to that
