In Explorer, clicking on Workspace icon, EVERYTHING gets selected and it changes particle colors

Hi,

When I have a part and a particle emitter, selected all is good.

When I then click on the Workspace ICON, it selects everything in the worksspace and then changes ALL of my particle emitters to some color and messes them all up.

Studio changed it

Is anyone else seeing this whacked up behavior?

Expected behavior

Clicking on the workspace icon should not select everything and then change all my PE colors.

It’s not selecting everything–that highlight refers to children of selection.

As for the particle emitter, can you:

  1. Confirm that after disabling all plugins, it still happens?
  2. If it does, record a video?

Hi,
thanks for responding.

What does this mean ‘It’s not selecting everything–that highlight refers to children of selection.’ . I first click on replicatedstorage, with nothing selected in the worksspace, and then just click on workspace it still does it.

  1. I have a lot of plugins, is there a global way of disabling them all to try that… and then a global way of getting them all back of the ones I had enabled, and not having the ones that are disabled? I have a lot of plugins and it would be a shear pain to manually do it.

Thanks

The dark blue is what you have selected. The lighter blue just means it is a child of the selection. You are only selecting Workspace–see how that is all the properties shows.

Unfortunately no, but it’s on my todo.

Also , when I click on the Plugin Managerment, it does not list all or even most of my plugins that I have enabled, I have like 90 plugins, and the P M only shows like 12 of them… so I cannot disabled the others.. and they are not from the plugin PC folder.. they are all part of my inventory.. So is there also an issue with the P M loading all of the ones you currently have enabled..?

I checked and you have 100 plugins so it’s probably not easy…

Maybe you could try logging into an alt that doesn’t have those all installed?

why does the P M not load them all?

plus if the P M does not load them all , how would I re enabled them later on , if I start to disabled them

The plugin management thing just sounds like a separate bug.

At the moment though my theory is that this is being caused by one of your many plugins–no easy way to figure out which one either :frowning:

mmm, so you going to file a bug for the P M not loading them all? or do I need to?

File it separately please, thank you

I wrote down on my todo list to have a way to both disable all plugins and also bisect which plugin is doing this–I’m quite confident it’s a plugin.

k I filed the other issue just now.

After uninstalling a bunch of plugins, the issue went away, so closing this for now… do not know which one it was though..
