General

  • Added a new chat tag: YouTuber
    • People who post high quality YouTube content about IPS2 can apply to Crystalflame over any available socials
    • The first IPS2 content creator is Elykzo
  • All chat tags are now mutually exclusive and follow a set priority order
  • Added a background to the general notification system label
  • Improved the consistency of mobile device detection

Lobby

  • Fixed AFK mode being invisibly enabled after watching the tutorial for the first time
  • Revised the thief and camera tutorial scenes to provide better and clearer info
  • The enter tutorial button now appears from farther away
  • Added new crimes to the end results cutscene

Shops

  • Added bulk purchasing for thieves and cameras
    • By default, it costs $90,000 to purchase 10 characters (one for free!)
    • The Infamous discount and shops sales still apply
    • Refunds operate on a per-character basis, working as you would expect
  • Black Market changes
    • Attempted a fix at a rare situation where the menus could get stuck
    • Clarified the buy money button
  • Fixed navigation buttons not being active while loading the thief character preview on slow connections
  • Reworded the refund notification for clarity

Maps

  • Fixed a stack of books in School not being stolen in the correct order
  • Changed some items’ prices
    • Keyboard now 2w 50v (from 1w 25v)
    • Mouse now 1w 25v (from 2w 50v)

Round

  • Round bonuses are no longer awarded to players who went AFK during the round
    • Players who leave the game during a round do not receive any money at all
    • The above behavior is what the game was already doing
  • Godfather now hints at what map event is going on for the thieves while sitting in the vans
  • Revamped the ability system to allow for new and interesting abilities

Thieves

  • Reworked Smokebomb (for any thief with it)
    • Now can be charged by holding down the ability button
    • There are 3 tiers of throwing speed (more power with more holding)
    • The smokebomb itself is now thrown with more consistency
  • Reworked Celebi
    • New ability by the same name, Salvation
    • Summons an impenetrable protective shield around you and a nearby non-Celebi thief
    • Your shield lasts for 8 seconds and the other thief’s lasts for 10
    • Helping out a fellow thief grants a hefty support bonus, but the ability can still be used without a nearby thief
    • Thieves close enough to be affected by the ability will be highlighted (only for you)
    • Reasoning behind the change
      • The prior verison of Celebi made it quite annoying for cameras to eliminate thieves from the round
      • While cameras would get more money, the reward amount drops off over time to prevent farming, leading to diminishing returns
      • The new ability is focused on being risky and getting up close to save your team, creating energy-filled moments
  • Reworked Shadow
    • The ability button can now be held down to randomly teleport further away
    • Automatically activates when reaching 100%
  • Reworked Scavenger
    • The ability is now named Target Assignments
    • When depositing, you get a new set of target items
    • Depositing more weight gives more weight worth of new item targets
  • Reworked Buzz
    • New ability by the same name, Moonwalk
    • Pressing the ability button now toggles low gravity
  • Updated Quartz
    • Now has a countdown timer to time traveling
    • New visual and sound effects
  • Added new local sounds to various actions (only heard by you)
    • Stealing
    • Depositing
    • Being damaged
  • Replaced the default Roblox damage vignette with a custom one for consistency and clarity
  • Players holding Cole’s hot coal now move with +4 walk speed (from 3)
  • Fixed Ironclad sometimes playing animations in the incorrect order
  • Shelly’s shields now properly update to match the equipped skin
  • Fixed the animation track limit sometimes being reached
  • Glitch doesn’t randomly pick hold activation abilities
  • Fixed the clothing for Mr. V and Skelly

Cameras

  • Reworked Annihilator
    • The nuke explosion now deals 1-3 damage (from 2-6)
    • The explosion now has a windup of 0.3 seconds (from 0.2)
    • The blast radius is now 12 studs (from 15)
    • Ability cooldown of 25 seconds (from 30)
    • Nukes can now be activated on top of a thief, instead of just passing through
    • Explosion proximity calculations are now done from the thieves’ center
    • Reasoning behind the change
      • One-hit downs without much counterplay get quite annoying and are very unfair, especially if it doesn’t require much aiming
      • The new ability is focused on predicting thieves’ movement, aiming your nukes well, and combining it all with well placed laser shots
  • Reworked Roadblock
    • Now has a completely new ability, Road Closed
    • Place two posts that create a barrier that blocks thieves
    • This barrier can be then torn down by thieves
  • Reworked Exterminator
    • Holding down the ability button now allows for control over the projectile speed
    • There are 5 tiers of projectile speed (more power with more holding)
    • The button can be held down at 100%
  • Getting stunned/reloading as a camera now heavily reduces mouse sensitivity rather than freezing your screen
  • Cameras can no longer delay the anti-camping location switch by constantly reloading
  • Lasering Greenhorn’s rocks now results in a more consistent pushing velocity
  • Explosive Shot’s blast radius has been increased to 5 studs (from 4)
  • Cannon’s blast radius multiplier has been decreased to 1.6 (from 2)
  • The camera zoom can now be adjusted while reloading

Thieves

  • Updated Celebi
    • Now can protect any amount of nearby thieves (cooldown increases with more players protected)
    • Rewarded squad support now scales with the number of protected thieves
    • Now has 17 walk speed (from 16)
  • Updated Scavenger
    • The item picking algorithm now prioritizes items at the top of item stacks rather than items in the middle
    • The value multiplier now increases with lower value/weight ratios (per item)
    • Now has 25 max weight capacity (from 20)
  • Fixed Dracula breaking if using their ability on a terminated NPC

Cameras

  • Cameras now freeze while reloading instead of having a lowered sensitivity
  • Annihilator’s nuke blast radius is now 15 studs (from 12)
