Ben the Banana’s Boisterous Banana Bonanza

  • The one and only Ben the Banana is back with his family to host the world’s greatest party, the Banana Bonanza!
  • The police are on high alert after reports of said bonanzas taking place during many robberies all over the city.
  • Sources suggest these banana themed crews have setup “Banana Stations” in some of their robberies, using stolen items to fuel them and construct the elusive Super Banana…
  • The thieves have been defending these Super Bananas vigorously, depositing them as soon as they’re created while the cameras have been lasering thieves down to confiscate them.
  • Every 2 rounds is a Banana Bonanza where Banana Stations will be set up in the map (otherwise it’s just a normal round)
  • The thieves deposit their currently held items into the Banana Stations to fuel them
    • When at 100%, the station will form a Super Banana
  • Thieves must pick up the Super Banana and take it to an entrance to deposit, while avoiding cameras who can steal it by lasering the carrier
  • The thieves must work together to bring the Super Banana to safety as the carrier is slowed down when there are more people in the server
  • Whichever team captures the Super Banana is awarded Banana Bucks (everybody on the team)
  • Banana Bucks can be spent and viewed at the Banana Family shop set up in the lobby, near The Club
  • The thief event shop sells 2 characters:
    • Ben the Banana
    • Chloe the Coconut (NEW)
  • The camera event shop sells 1 character:
    • Banana (NEW)

General

  • Fixed the chat’s colon character being in the wrong place in messages
  • Added a new IPS2 content creator, Greeism

Lobby

  • Added new crimes to the end results cutscene

Shops

  • The randomizer no longer picks default rarity thieves if you have at least 5 applicable non-Default thieves
  • Switching equipped thieves now fully resets the display’s appearance before loading
  • Added 5 new large tier laser modules to the Black Market
    • Toxic (gradient)
    • Green Focus (gradient)
    • Cyan Focus (gradient)
    • Buzzy Bee (pattern)
    • Monochrome (pattern)

Maps

  • School
    • Fixed NPCs spawning inside various objects
    • Fixed some small building issues
  • Added out of bounds clipping to an area in Bank
  • Fixed an out of bounds clip in Mansion

Round

  • Implemented a new property/modifier system to allow for robust passive modifiers to be applied to characters dynamically
  • Further optimized the map loading process to cut back on network lag while entering rounds

  • Toggle abilities being reset now correctly updates the HUD’s ability thumbnail
  • Dropped moneybags now fall to the floor when spawning
  • The ability cooldown UI now displays the tenths place
  • Improved the thief map escape/exit scene

Thieves

  • Reworked Ben the Banana
    • Now can hold the ability down to spawn 3 different tiers of bananas
      • Tier 1 bananas fling you in a random direction (same as now)
      • Tier 2 bananas fling you upwards
      • Tier 3 bananas fling you in the direction you are facing
      • Each tier of banana has a distinct visual appearance
      • Spawning a higher tier banana results in a longer cooldown (15, 25, then 35)
      • The velocity applied to characters is more consistent in general now
    • Improved the visuals of placed golden skin bananas
  • Updated Dibs
    • Ability income is now counted as dirty cash
    • Fixed the sound effect not playing
  • Using Celebi’s ability without protecting other teammates now results in a shield duration of 6 seconds
    • If at least one teammate is protected, Celebi’s shield duration will remain 8 seconds
    • The shield duration on teammates is still 10 seconds
  • Executive’s meeting income is now counted as dirty cash (for both the Executive and the attendee)
  • Ironclad now properly gets an ability cooldown when dying while using his ability
  • When an object is being held, the item UI will display information about it
  • Removed Payday’s jump power increase (from 60 to 50 jump power)

Cameras

  • Updated Incinerator
    • The fire now only starts applying damage after 0.5 seconds of existing
    • The fire now lasts for 12 seconds (from 15)
  • Updated Roadblock
    • Thieves removing barriers now takes 2.5 seconds (from 1.5)
    • The maximum barrier length is now 30 studs (from 25)
  • Updated Firefly
    • During the darkness, thieves now get a front facing light (like a flashlight) in addition to the small light they have now
    • The darkness now lasts for 15 seconds with one Firefly and 10 seconds with two Fireflies (from a static 20)
  • Exterminator’s poison gas now only starts applying damage after 0.5 seconds of existing

  • Various NPCs missing some accessories
  • Network lag when entering rounds (possibly fixed)

Lobby

  • The team picker now has more variation when picking camera players while still following a vague cycle

Maps

  • Added more out of bounds clipping to Mansion and Bank

Round

  • When cameras all leave or go AFK, the round now goes to the escape sequence instead of immediately ending
  • For both thieves and cameras, the AFK warning label will disappear immediately when you move

Thieves

  • If a player being revived leaves or otherwise becomes unavailable, the revive will be instantly cancelled
  • After being downed or having died, thieves no longer sometimes flop around unpredictably
  • Chloe the Coconut’s ability cooldown is now 30 seconds (from 35)
  • Frankenstein’s Monster now works properly each time
  • Downed thieves now have 30 jump power (from 0)

Cameras

  • Chaingun now gets a 50% switch speed increase during the ability (from 30%)

Lobby

  • Made further improvements to the team picker to provide more interesting team selection

Thieves

  • Reworked Private Brian
    • Upon a successful revive, both you and the revived thief get +4 walk speed for 3 seconds
    • Reviving a fellow thief now also gives them all their health back
    • Still has a revive speed of x2
    • The rarity has been increased to Rare (from Uncommon)
  • Reworked Whiskers
    • Now gets a +4 walk speed boost after being revived for 5 seconds
    • Can now be revived 3 times per round (from 2)
  • Reworked Lazarius
    • Now has a new active ability by the same name, Necromancy
    • Upon use, all downed thieves within a range of you will be revived instantly at the cost of 1 of your health per thief (will not damage below 1 health)
    • The more people that are instantly revived with the ability, the longer the cooldown it has
    • Normal revives now have a speed of x1.5 (from instantly) and now also heal 1 heart
  • The Statue no longer has any animations at all
  • Bandit’s rarity is now Uncommon (from Rare)
