As a member of the management team, there are certain things that you cannot overlook in the Homestore. This form will explain how to deal with many of the situations you may encounter, and hopefully prepare you for anything you may face while performing your duties.
If any scenario requires a kick or a ban and you are unable to run those commands for whatever reason, contact a member of the management or executive team who can and perform the required actions
Disrespectful Sales Representatives
On occasion, you may spot a member of the sales team disrespecting a customer or even another staff member. In this case, if you deem the disrespect to be intense enough, confront the staff member and explain to them how to act while on duty, and why their actions are inappropriate. Try not to do this in front of everybody, and instead either use whisper chat (/w [PLAYER NAME] or bring them to a derelict corner of the store.
Disrespectful Customers
Customers cannot be expected to act as professionally or mature as the staff, and as such, they are given more leeway when it comes to the rules. However there are limits, if you feel that a customer is breaking these limits, and being downright nasty to other customers or a member of the sales team, confront them and explain that their actions are unacceptable, and if they continue they will not be welcome in the store. Warn them and if necessary kick them or even issue a ban if they rejoin constantly after being kicked.
Exploiters
Exploiters should be permanently banned right away. If you are unable to Pban the user, contact any member who can. Be sure to grab proof if able, so if the user leaves we can still prevent them from rejoining.
Trollers
A troll and a disrespectful customer are 2 different things, and identifying the difference between them is essential. A disrespectful customer may not realize what they are doing is wrong and are simply acting only how they know. Whereas a troll enters the Homestore with the sole intent of creating trouble. To deal with a troll, issue a warning, and then kick them if they continue after the first warning. If they rejoin after 2 kicks, issue a ban.
Bugs
Any bug that creates a game-breaking or gameplay-altering experience should be reported to the executive and development team right away so we can fix it as soon as possible. If the bug is abusable in any way that harms another user’s experience, warn the user abusing the bug, and kick them if deemed necessary.
It is impossible to name every scenario you may come across while on the Homestore, however, these are a few of the most common. Anything not on this small list that you determine to be unacceptable behavior for the respective rank can be punished, however before taking drastic action (banning), consult a member of the executive team for confirmation on the punishment and action.
