Why are items like this one above being allowed on the platform? Roblox is a platform primarily for kids and teens, and all content must reflect that. Items with humanoid faces that mimic flirtatious or seductive expressions, or that include subtle sexual innuendos, have no place on the platform.
Even if not explicit, these designs send the wrong message and compromise the safety and appropriateness of the environment. The item itself is called “Yes King FREAKY brainrot meme arrow red.”
Along with this, why are items that discuss the topic of autism as a funny or comedic trait allowed to be sold? You’re not even able to use the words “autism” or “autistic” in experiences since it has been known to be glorified into calling people stupid or outright weird. Moderation should be consist if players are going to be banned for using these words to describe others.
I think these kind of “text bubbles” in general have been used as an excuse to discuss topics that aren’t age appropriate for the platform, especially with circumventing what current moderators are expected to know regarding slang.
The item featured above quite literally is just telling other players “Sorry, I’m high.” Moderators should be informed on current slang, or at the very least accept reports detailing how these items are violative to the Terms of Service. There are many such speech bubbles that violate these same rules, which I will link as a reply to my post.
I don’t even think I have to describe why this is inappropriate. At this point, I’m just disappointed in moderation, and it’s no wonder why child safety is an issue on this platform.
I have no problem with these items in general, I think they can be a great way for people to express themselves on the platform. Especially with trends, music, and slang which are all age appropriate. But when that line starts to become crossed, items like these thrive, which shouldn’t be allowed in any capacity.
