They are not good at checking whether the incoming robux is legitimate. This is a bandaid fix. They’re not fixing the actual issues. A 3 day wait even if you’re not doing anything malicious is still stupid.

How about instead of doing this and harming the entire developer community, can’t you just work harder to take down malicious games/groups? In that case, it will only harm the malicious users, not the entire developer community.

In my opinion I don’t see how this helps anyone. Developers already have 30% income tooken away from them and have to wait 3 days befor being payed and now they have to wait an extra 4 days, come on there has to be another way.
I personally think this change would be unfortunate for developers that are paying other developers to help them, and that it would also be unfortunate for new developers. I’m just hoping this is just temporary, so that Roblox can improve the system and make changes that protect against fraudulent purchases.

We developers make your platform a thing and we don’t get treated fairly and we sweat hard work to get Robux, and you guys tax and make it longer?
Unnecessary, this has affected me and this will affect a lot of people.
I’m a quite a small developer and it won’t affect me much. I do think this may decrease copied clothing sellers. but c’mon, this is hardly a threat or a harm to developers but they do have enough time to check on their product before it won’t get on sale.
I’m sure the 3-7 day waiting period only applies if there’s fraud or abuse detected. It says this in a announcement.
It doesn’t say it might take 7 to 3 days it says the range depends on the risk of fraud or abuse, it’s like this so they make sure its not a false alarm and can search more thoroughly. Also I think there should be a edit to this announcement explaining this more clearly if this many people including me got this wrong.
As a small developer/commissioner, this hurts. Badly. 3 Days was already long enough in having to wait for the Robux to pend in order to pay out the others that I build with. This is just a really, really bad update.
I completely and utterly understand your point on behalf of ROBLOX security. The only conflict is this is very damaging to the way developers pay other developers, receive their own revenue, etcetera. If I am being totally honest, with my utmost respect, this update doesn’t help players and developers at all. It is completely helping on the moderation side. Plus, I don’t really understand how 3 days isn’t enough for moderation to occur. This is simply my opinion and I mean it in the most deferential way possible.

Yah I kind of agree with you. I can totally see why this decision was made and how it can help in some circumstances. But, I also do see the negatives that this entails.
In general, I don’t think that this is one of the “worst updates ever that has ruined Roblox” like some people are making this out to be. In reality, the duration is just a bit more of an inconvenience.

A whole week is very long to wait just to send out payment to someone. I understand that this is for a extra layer for security and to prevent scam.
Well I hope it won’t increase anymore and stay at this long instead (or even better to lower)
This affects group owners the most. They use the robux to advertise their groups on a daily basis, they were already struggling with 3 days, but 7 days will make it even harder.
RDC is a developer conference, a conference/town-hall for specifically developers. A town-hall would be available for any player on ROBLOX and would give staff time to take in feedback directly from the community.
Announcement categories gives staff good insight on what developers think about newer updates but the overall response from the community is unknown as they do not have access to continue a conversation here.
At the end of the day, it’s just an idea and I highly, highly doubt it’ll happen. Just tossin’ my two cents out there.

As someone who would patiently wait 3 days for group funds to go through via a shirt, this update isn’t the best. As much as protection on the site is very very important, having users be able to input group funds is also very important.
With this feature coming in, it’s not nice having to wait 3-7 days for maybe a few hundred robux to go into your group so you could spend it on an ad or give some to a friend. If your going to add a feature like this then people would at least ask for a “Add robux into group” button to be taken into consideration.
Not only will this take the stress off the moderation system but it means less shirts and stuff we have to create. It would make it so much easier as a button would just instantly withdraw the robux from your account and add it to the group funds.
This is a stupid, useless change, 3 days was already good enough, but now you’re still doing this as a preventative measure for theft and fraud on the platform? If you wanted to prevent those things there are way better options than handicapping the developers, especially not telling them exactly when their pending robux should be received.
This is outrageous. The impact that this will have on small developers who rely on these funds to pay their other staff will have a massive knock-on effect on their efficiency. I expected, when I read this, to see a more positive change. With the 30% tax and now a possible week wait, you have potentially driven away robux purchases and instead might have indirectly pushed them to real-world currency purchases because of their efficiency.
So a whole week? People will just stop paying their devs with robux and start using paypal much more. Bad business decision imo.
Yes, exactly, people will stop using Robux to pay devs, and would instead contact over discord so they can pay with paypal or other forms, not tax cut or time limit there.
I just came back from watching KonekoKittens vid about this, I thought it would be maybe 1 day more but 7 DAYS?! It’s already enough waiting time the little robux I sometimes earn from my games already comes slow enough! I understand you want to keep your users safe but you don’t want to lose all users either.
