Inconsistent Profile Display – "Currently Wearing" vs. "Inventory" in Roblox Universal App

Issue Description

In the Roblox Universal App, when viewing a friend’s profile, there is an inconsistency in what is displayed. Some profiles show the “Currently Wearing” section, while others display “Inventory.” This is not consistent with the app’s latest design updates, where it was expected to show only the “Currently Wearing” section.

Reproduction Steps

  1. Open the Roblox Universal App.
  2. Navigate to the Friends tab or search for a friend.
  3. Tap on a friend’s profile thumbnail to open their profile.
  4. Observe the section under their avatar:
4.1 Some profiles show “Currently Wearing.”
    4.2 Others show “Inventory.”
  5. Repeat with different friends and compare the inconsistency.

Expected Behavior

The profile display should be consistent across all users. Based on the app’s recent updates, every profile should only display the “Currently Wearing” section instead of showing “Inventory” for some users.

Hi thank you for reporting! This is expected for users whose inventories privacy do not allow it to be visible to the public.

I understand, but since they don’t want to share it publicly, wouldn’t it make sense to display only “Currently Wearing”? In this way, I wouldn’t be able to see it after clicking on their summary…

to clarify, we are respecting privacy settings for inventory. so if it’s set to private then we will not show it

I have pretty much understood this and other privacy changes that have been implemented recently… However, I would like to know if there are any possibilities of answering my questions:

  1. If you have a Roblox user as your friend, and their inventory is hidden, would it appear only as “Currently Wearing” or “Inventory”? The video I have provided on the report shows that this design was not behaving correctly (unless it was fixed later on)
  2. Does this design also apply to the recent UK policy?
