The Infinite Vault Star-glasses were advertised as a limited item during The Hunt, but after going offsale they never went limited.
The item following this one was ALSO advertised as a limited (Vault Swordpack), but it didn’t go limited. Roblox later fixed this and made the item limited following a large amount of criticism.
The same cannot be said for the Star-glasses. I believe this to be a mistake, but if not, the wording here was extremely misleading. Thousands of people bought this item for 1,000 Robux expecting it to go limited and it never did.
I have proof that it was advertised as a Limited. I took a picture of it at the time the item was released, but I had about 5 hours left to buy it before it went off-sale:
Exactly, this item went limited with the same exact tag as the glasses. It only had the green limited tag in the classic event AFTER the confusion of the hunt items. After the swordpack, the items afterward said “limited time only” with two more saying “limited”, going limited. The glasses are the only item with said tag that has not gone limited. I feel bad for the people who bought the shades thinking it would go limited - but again I also would feel bad if it went limited and those who bought it for it to be a decently “rare” offsale as this item would probably flop if limited.
As a owner of these shades, I would personally love to see it go limited, but if it doesn’t then it doesn’t. However, I know there a lot of people who bought this who thought it’d be limited such as traders, or maybe not, some just wanted these glasses to collect it. Again, I personally I would love if it went limited.
all the items that were limited from this event had a custom hunt tag and this had that tag.
Not a single green tag was used for this event just a white LIMITED! Text, this was featured on the shades.
I agree for this item going limited, not that I want it to mostly but more to keep things consistent, I’d imagine a lot of owners would like to see it go limited after purchasing it as well.
At the time it was bought for 1,000 robux, and also 9k people own this item at this time (says on the Wiki). But, yes I’m saying some bought it thinking it’d go limited to trade it or resell it, not just collect and hold forever on their account.
I bought these with the expectation they would become limited during or after the event ended. if they don’t go limited there should be an option for people who bought these to refund it.
Our estimate is hopefully to have them in search and trade ads by Wednesday It’s complicated how Roblox has this stuff set up so it takes a good bit of work and investigation to figure out how to do it properly without messing things up
