InsertService: User owns model, still errors 'Asset is not trusted for this place'

This bug started happening about 12 hours ago.

I cannot insert any model which i have purchased into studio or an online game.

The expected behaviour is that when I purchase a model created by another user I should be able to use InsertService to load it into my game.

However, InsertService has started spitting out ‘Asset is not trusted for this place’ despite previously being able to load in models that I own without issue.

Models that I originally created can still be loaded in. It’s models created by other users that I am having issues with.

Why is this an issue?

My game Flood Escape 2 Community Maps (and others such as TRIA.os & Liquid Breakout) depends on models being loaded in order for creators to play their own creations. For as long as this bug persists my game is completely broken and I have no workaround for this. FE2CM’s community wholly depends on this API in order to be able to create, share and play content, and it is part of my game development pipeline in order to be able to feature community-created content.

My game is completely dependent on this service to run. Without it, it is not possible to for my game to run and there is nothing that we can do except for wait for this to get fixed. Models that we own should be able to get inserted into our games.

I hope we get an update on this very soon.

24 hours since the first initial bug report of this came up and we are still yet to hear any updates.

Just like Crazyblox, my game (TRIA.os) also fully depends on the use of loading in assets via InsertService, without it simply my game can’t function and we have no way around it. This bug has impacted us so badly that we have witnessed large player drops ranging from 40 - 50 all the way down to 5!

Please update us!

oof, this is quite devistating, i actually know and play alot of different games that have to use this service just because there is user generated content that was made outside of the game, and require it to be inserted, which is quite devistating.

I’m pretty sure this also affects those insert model plugins as they also use this system.

Thank you all again for filing this bug report. Confirming, our engineering team has resolved this issue.

I know this was solved, but let me make it clear how awful this was: some games that use community resource modules use insert service to automatically update them. Those modules wouldn’t be inserted and a lot of stuff would error, making some games unplayable.
