RULES/GUIDELINES

General rules (please read)

[1] Being others/causing drama is not allowed. This is a friendly, loving community, and we want everyone to have a good time here. Action will be taken if drama occurs.

[2] Don’t be inappropriate.

  • Bypassing will lead to a ban from the server and you won’t be able to join back to it.
  • If you use animations inappropriately, action will be taken.
  • Anything else that might seem inappropriate.

[3] Don’t argue with staff. If you felt like something they did was unfair, talk to them politely in private about it.

[4] Don’t try to glitch your way into class. If you arrived late and can’t get into gym class, that’s because we want students to arrive on time to avoid confusion with the staff. However, don’t try to glitch back in, as action will be taken against you.

  • If you disconnected, ask the staff to let you back in. However, staff will check join-logs to see if you are lying or not, so don’t lie or action will be taken.
  • We let the time go 5 minutes past the class start time, so we can let people who didn’t join right on the spot still join. However, nobody that joins after those 5 minutes will be let in to avoid confusion.

[5] We ask that you please follow the Roblox TOS.

[6] Don’t exploit or troll.
Exploiting leads to a permeant ban on your account and you won’t be able to join the games.
If you troll, you will only have 2 warnings and if you still continue you will be banned from the server

[7] Don’t advertise anywhere. (on our group wall, games, etc.) You will only be able to advertise if you are granted permission from the President to do so.

[8] Don’t tell staff how to host. You can add suggestions for moves, diving, etc. But don’t correct them. Their job is to tell you how to dance/swim/dive/do cheer moves.

[9] Don’t steal spots if there are any.

[10] Don’t lie about getting IAPs. We have a list for IAPs, so we can tell if you lied.

WHAT ARE IAPs?

IAPs stand for

I - Insouciance
A - Athletics
P - Points.

You have a higher chance of getting an IAP after classes if you:

  • don’t cause drama and be respectful to everyone
  • participate and do all the things staff tells you
  • do at least okay in class

You probably won’t always get an IAP, because staff aren’t allowed to give them out to everyone in class. They have a guide to help them give out IAPs. However, your chances will not be raised if you cause drama about it. Please don’t be discouraged if you don’t have/get one.

Rankup guide:
5 IAPs: Gymnast → Junior Gymnast
10 IAPs: Junior Gymnast → Expert Gymnasy
(More ranks coming soon!)

STAFF INFO

Staff are the people who host classes and help this community run smoothly.

How to become staff

Requirements:

  • Must have discord and be 13+
  • You must have been a member of IA for at least a month
  • Some sort of experience in Roblox Athletics
  • You must be active at IA

If you meet these, sometimes there will be staff applications. These are to prevent people without experience of hosting/knowing a lot about the group to join our staff team. If you passed, you will be contacted to schedule a staff tryout.

At the gym, you will preform lots of tricks by yourself. You will go through almost everything a gymnast can learn here. You will also preform tricks with the staff if you are the only one who scheduled for that time. If someone else is with you, you will do tricks with them.

If you pass the tryouts, you will be successfully on the staff team! You will be contacted if you pass, and your name will be announced in announcements so others can congratulate you.

ALLIES

Allies help each other grow and interact with each other. If allied with us, you will help us grow and we will help your group grow too. We might also have competitions together and have events with each other if you wish. If your group wants to ally with us, you can look at post here to see what the requirements are and how to apply.

CLASS TYPES

Click the tab to learn more about the classes.

Regular

This is a regular class. Staff will guide you along the way as you practice moves. At the end there will be a performance without assistance you have to try what you learned by yourself. Then, after that, staff will decide who to give the IAPs to to conclude the class.

1v1 Battle

You and another person will battle and practice moves. The person with the best moves will win. The Gymnasts will decide this. However, unlike Team vs Team, this is mainly for fun, and even if you win, it doesn’t mean you will get an instant IAP. The IAPs will be decided like a regular class, however you get to make your own moves for the battle.

Team vs Team

There will usually be 2 hosts for this. The hosts split up the class evenly into 2 teams, and then the hosts go to their team and teach them the moves for the class. After the moves have been practiced and has been learned, the 2 teams have a battle against each other with the moves they have learned and the hosts will decide which team did it best. The winning team will receive IAPs.

Elimination

The host of the dance will teach the students moves like tumbling, rolling, and more. Once those have been learned, the students will be required to follow that the host taught them without help. If they get something wrong, they will be eliminated from the class, but they can still watch the others do it. The remaining will get IAPs.

CONCLUSION

Thank you for reading the IA handbook. This may be updated quite a bit, so keep an eye out! We hope this gave you some understanding of how our group works. We hope you enjoy your stay from staff and the President here at IA.
