I am currently working on a train simulator that you interact with its buttons inside of the train. This would be first person and I just wanted to show off some progress I have so far.
Please let me know any suggestions you have or feedback! Please be honest
The game looks very professional and very well made. The interior of the train looks very nice and a bit realistic the exterior is also very well done.
This game looks very realistic and is very well designed
I’ve got just one thing that I’d say could be fixed though.
Honestly, I don’t know about others, but I really dislike that speed ui on the bottom of the screen that’s in a lot of games
Thanks! That was honestly a mistake of mine leaving that in… The game is about 3/4 finished and this is the first train I finished. It has a built in speedomter so the defult roblox one doesnt need to be included.
Looks very good, im intersted on what would be the game loop, how do players decide if they want to be drivers or passengers?, or can anyone spawn their own train?.
There is no passangers, and its kind of like ultimate driving how their trucks work where you can upgrade how much freight you can haul and stuff like that. Also players will get coins for completing routes and then said coins can be used to buy new trains.
First of all, this is so impressive. I love the UI, and the small details that you included. The game’s objective is ultimately to be an interactive train simulator and you nailed it. I was surprised that you skillfully integrated particles and lighting very well. Yet, one issue I want to point out is that on your first video there was a short segment with this, and all I can say is to add something around it so, it looks more natural.
Additionally, the billboards (decals) are stretched and that makes them hard to read, and if you’re aiming for a more realistic look these details matter!
But, other than that I have nothing else to point out. This is a great creation and I enjoyed watching the videos you posted. Good luck with developing this incredible game!
Thanks for the feedback! This is a section of map I just finished and there are a few bugs, the decals are stretched cause google gave me the wrong pixel to stud ratio lol!
But the section of track that seems akward is just due to it being unfinished, the yellow square is something that is being worked on a seperate baseplate so thats why its just there. (Picture below)
I hope to see you playing the game and enjoying this!
Edit: For context the player is stuck in first person, so this top down angle will never be seen.
