Introduce an "Other Features" category for otherwise out-of-scope feedback

As I recently brought up during an event, there are invariably many issues that impact developers and the platform as a whole that are out-of-scope of the current feature request categories. These issues range from design inconsistencies in systems which are not within the scope of existing feature request categories to, on rare occasion, systemic oversights in policy that forseeably will result in major issues if not addressed.

The most effective solution, in my opinion, to open up an ability for the community to give feedback on these matters would be to create an “Other” category of feature request, similar to how the #bug-reports:other-bugs is avaliable for bug reports. This would allow for feedback to be given in a manner that facilitates communication internally by Roblox in the same way as other feature request categories, allowing for issues to be prioritized by impact and providing insight into issues that otherwise are never formally brought to the attention of Roblox.

Although I could go on as to the reasoning for this, I feel it would fall outside of the reasonable scope of an initial request in this category. If there is sufficient interest, I’ll be happy to provide am extended explanation.

I made a post talking about this a while ago and I still believe it is a good idea Upgrade the Subcategories for Feature Request

We don’t actually use the categories internally, it all comes in as one big channel that we pick things out of. This channel is currently not as automated / managed as our bug report workflow, we will work on improving that in the future similarly to what we did to bug reports.

For now, you can throw anything that doesn’t fit any other particular category into #feature-requests:website-features, people will see it regardless because of what I just described above. It’s not likely we are going to reorganize all the subcategories before we set up a better process for handling this kind of non-bug-report feedback, so hang tight.
