The stuff I said to this AI assistant… I hope no one can see the logs…
The AI doesn’t really understand what it can’t do, and can’t. It says it “cannot modify your experience”… while also being capable of setting and creating new materials, as well as generating scripts and parenting them. It’s slightly misleading!
Also, the AI gives me trouble when I ask it to fix it’s own script. It may fix it, and add some other random functionality. Then, when I ask it to be fixed again, it changes again, and I can’t get what I want. The issue is, I have to explain to it what is wrong with the script for it to get close to what I want. So, I’d need to be a scripter for help with scripting?? It seems like the assistant needs us, not the other way around.
It seems like the assistant needs us, not the other way around.
An assistant can’t do the work that you’re not giving them…
I see your point though; I would say it’s best for you to have scripting experience when using something like this, but if it’s unable to understand the problem itself I think that’s somewhat of an indication for an underlying problem.
This is so cool! So far I’ve been testing these AI implementations and I absolutely love them, empowering users and enabling universally anyone to create their own game whether they know how to program their scripts or not is fantastic
This is really cool! Does this mean that materials can now be generated within the AI assistant?
what happens if somebody somehow convinced the AI to basically generate the worst stuff imaginable, like [Cheese Pizza]?
is there some kind of a moderation system in place to look out for those types of messages? because i don’t think AI will only be used for like “assistance”.
It knows surprisingly a lot about WordPress for a Roblox Studio assistant!
Eh, generating CSM and other pretty tos breaking content with ai isnt exactly as easy to do as any other random stable diffusion model from the net or any ChatGPT model designed for adult material. These models usually require lots of training on these sorts of things, and i doubt roblox would train their models on these sorts of things.
Here’s some feedback I have after messing with it very simply for like 1-2 minutes. Firstly, add some form of delimitation to who said what so stuff like what is shown in the screenshot below doesn’t happen where it talks to itself thinking what it said earlier was a question I asked. Also this is probably not really possible but try to make it so it doesn’t use deprecated stuff and instead the proper alternatives.
I will definitely be using this (maybe more in future) … being new to coding.
I am using ChatGPT4 and it has improved somewhat over the last 2 months.
But I like the direction this is going, even placing scripts in parts etc. That’s awesome.
I hope that there will be logging request history at some point, as that will help when we need to carry on the next day.
I understand this is a way to help people develop but once they run into an error how are they supposed to fix it other than asking AI this is silly to add as nobody will learn from their mistakes…
That depends soley on if the user wants to improve themselves. The AI will tell you whats wrong and how to fix it. But youll only get so far unless you learn from what it teaches you. I used to use tiger algrebra back in highschool for homework in math cause it would walk through how to get the answer and i could learn from that
I’ve just generated some really interesting textures with this update in my experience:
The only problem is that there are sometimes too many requests sent to the server, and the AI can not process requests…most likely an API restriction. Hope this is fixed soon!
it’s not that good. i’ve been trying to get it to make a basic car, and it tried to use CFrame with a RotateP
What if they simply use the AI to just make scripts and not learn anything
Which is why you would have an easier job if you was to code it yourself as it isn’t that hard even for people with little experience
Love this feature! Sadly AI doesn’t understanding me sometimes. I asked for a script that activates on .Touched and .TouchEnded, but AI generated me a script that activates with ClickDetector.
Can we not encourage AI-Generated material use in roblox experiences? For one, it looks awful, and secondly you’re just encouraging a bunch more absolute slop to show up on roblox with the same boring and uninteresting design choices. AI is not capable of making something “interesting” and you’re just ruining the opportunities of artists that might have been commissioned for the work instead.
Then they wont learn. AI is great to help you learn.
