I was very happy to test it⌠asking it to give the person (NPCâs too / later) a team once it touches the part.
Assistant was on the right track⌠but when it didnât work⌠it said try this âmodifiedâ script⌠BUT⌠it was exactly the SAME script⌠(omw)⌠at least up to 5 rimes⌠till I gave up on it.
Eventually I gave CharGPT4 another go, and it gave me the answer pretty quickly (including tuning it for me).
For some reason, before you exit the test mode with Assistant, it sort of warns you that it will start a new job⌠tho sometimes can continue⌠so is confusing.
I understand, itâs on a learning curve, just like me 
It has other features that ChatGPT doesnât have ⌠like patterns or script placements.
Eventually I will learn myself⌠but for now (tho stressful sometimes)⌠they are both helpful.

I honestly will never use ChatGPT for developing ever again! The assistant does not give false information and not to forget that it will become even more powerfull for future development! ChatGPT might be able to compete with assiastant yet, but I believe soon assiastant will learn so many more things that with just one command there will be a difficult concept done!!! I might sound frightening for lots of pro-devs, who might think they will lose their job, but I can tell you, you will be fine! Assistant can not think of own game ideas and you still will be able to use it yourself!!

Yes, I totally agree that Assistant will outplay ChatGPT soon.
Just right now⌠it needs a few weeks to wise up to what works.

I was playing around with the material generator and found some flaws.
It seems to dislike making metal materials as every time I asked it did this:
When generating cardboard it added text which gave the wrong final generation:
Im not sure why it adds unnecessary information, but its really disrupting.
If this is a problem on my behalf, please let me know.

This is the AI injecting some additional creativity, but we will tune this down soon. In the meantime if you add more detail to specify what you want, it should respond to better. Let us know if that works!

It gives outdated code sometimes, for example, the last time I talked to it it gave me code that used BodyVelocity, BodyForce, and the like. But as far as I can see those Objects are deprecated, no? Because I canât find them anywhere anymore, I only know about VectorForce, LinearVelocity, LineForce, etcâŚ
The sources it links also say deprecated.
It mentioned VectorForce but instead of giving me code using the new one it prefers the deprecated onesâŚIt also straight-up lies about it being not deprecated when literally the source when you check says it is, haha.
I compared it with chatGPT and they both misinformed me so Iâm guessing it might take a while until they find out about the many changes. But theyâre awesome regardless.

Not really, as a scripter myself, I feel like this is more of a tutorial generator that can give me a headstart in my systems and I ideate and debug from there. But each to their own when it comes to how you want to use this assistant or use it at all. You still need a substantial amount of knowledge if you wanna do big things
At least Iâm glad that Roblox is ethically getting their code training data, allowing users to opt in or out of data collection, which should be the norm for all AI training.

The clip is nothing more than just marketing on what it âcouldâ be in the future. Right now all it can really do is generate materials and write pretty simple scripts (that may or may not even work). I personally doubt the assistant will ever get to that level features/abilitiesâŚ

Itâs funny how you can trick the AI to do other stuff than what it is supposed to.
Though, I noticed that it gives sources that are irrelevant when answering such questions.
My guess was that itâs powered by openAI so I asked it and it told me it is.
