Will shoes work with the soon to be released “ai avatar creator”??

Would socks count as shoes or no? Would love clarify on this since other items have used socks in the pants category.

i highly dislike rthro avatars. only like 0.2% of players use them

but everyone knows the shoes wouldn’t fit on classic avatars. so if they do make shoes for blocky/classic avatars, why they be like… Blocky shoes?? idk.

Very excited to see this finally release, and more excited that each shoe is 4k triangles !!

Nice to see that existing pants-shoes will be converted, but I have my doubts given that previously, it was stated that mis-categorized items would have the option to change the category within a 3 month transition period beginning March 26, 2024, and that does not yet exist or have any official followup

Awesome update! Just uploaded my first pair!

I ran into a bug while uploading. It seems like for some odd reason, shoes have a lower maximum allowed length in characters for the item title. This is not reflected when naming the item on the asset configuration screen in Studio, so shoes will fail to upload if the name is longer than whatever the limit for shoes is.

Thats cool but can we have layered clothing attached to skinned meshes too?

8000 tris for just some shoes is insane. That must be a lot of lag, especially since they are moving constantly. You could probably make shoes with 800 tris and that would be perfectly fine.

Every step you take will trigger a Touched event that the server has to process, regardless of what your feet are wearing. Just like how car wheels are constantly making contact with the ground while spinning. It’s probably more graphical lag than physical.

Love seeing new categories of accessories! Will make it a lot easier to search and publish UGC.

If I’m not mistaken (and if I am, please correct me), this seems to be related to how the bundle cages are structured. All of them have different types when wearing any 3D clothing, thus looking whacky for some bundles that are more cartoon-ish such as “Boy”. They would look more accurate if you used on a semi-realistic/anime character like “Peyton”, “Parker”, etc.

But, since the community can upload shoes, there is a possibility of expecting to see shoes for desired bundles just like these, for example:

Finally! Been waiting so long for this.

Dynamic Heads also have this issue. We’re limited to 27 characters when naming in studio. This changes when the head is successfully uploaded onto the web

this is a great update for the 2 people who use rthro and layered clothing
