Most developers don’t care, except those with the inability to believe Roblox can release a good feature and will criticize regardless of the content. This feature is for a rather small part of the developer community as a whole, but will positively impact someone somewhere, and is something I’m sure some of the megacorp lawyers are happy to see. So, while this won’t change the life of every developer out there, it’s something that needed to get through the pipeline in order to make brands and investors consider Roblox as place to spend their vast sums of cash.
Flexible brand promotion integration, wouldn’t be surprised to see that as a selling point.
Eh?
I admit that I’m not the correct userbase for this, but it still doesn’t explain the 21+ category
Besides, there are more important things roblox should focus on rather than some wierd brand feature like this
Because some brands don’t want their content to be seen by people under the age of 21? Roblox stands to gain from giving brands more options for connecting with their audience.
Obviously you haven’t kept up with RDC then. The push for a more mature platform isn’t new. Not sure where you’re getting the idea from that it’s just meant for kids.
More of a push from investors for the poorly executed brand ad slop. Something like this is a nicer way of putting it in the hands of developers rather than just having a team mass producing ad games.
I was hoping that someone would have run up to the CEO and shutdown this whole maturity operation with some friendly talk about why it would be a bad idea
I’m sorry but what is this? Instead of features that other engines got for atleast 10 years already, we’re getting this? When are we getting post-fx features other than basic color correction? LOL
Sorry to tell the truth, but nobody wanted/needed this.
Roblox is just straight up investing money into something that will earn them even more, instead of improving the engine atleast a little.
Yeah, no? Look at other engines, still making money, yet their products are not as undeveloped as roblox’s? I mentioned it in a key, that they’d rather invest money into something useless and pointless in attempt to bring a bit of more money, than investing into quality of the the engine itself.
Multiple different teams at Roblox. The ones working on the engine have nothing to do with a new service getting added. Happy companies = Happy investors.
