Removing Arial? I’m irrationally upset about this.
Yes, Arial is a god-awful font from an objective design standpoint, but it has a special quality to it that few other fonts have. It’s a shame that the appearance of type in old games will be permanently altered, with no way to opt out.
Yeah, Source Sans Pro was an amazing font. I even used it for the branding of some of the projects I worked on, alongside Arial and Verdana. I miss when ROBLOX used Source Sans Pro and Arial for everything, why can’t we just go back to that? Why can’t things just be simple?

That’s funny, the regular sans version of Builder is the only one that comes close to being good IMO. Still not as good as Source Sans or Arial, though.

I found out that the title bars uses fonts stored on my local system for the browser. I think when i got Builder on my PC it will display on the title bars. Or it could get replaced with Arimo. (edit: Source Sans Pro too…) (Edit 2: It works with Gotham and I think it will work with Builder too.)

Deprecation is not needed, specially when the majority of popular Roblox Games (Such as Blade Ball, Doors, Death Ball, Arsenal, 3008, and more) use the Gotham font (not to mention all the other ui from other games on Roblox that use these fonts.)
I am very confused about the licensing and that is making me hesitate from putting it in my experience.
Does this mean we can’t even share screenshots of our game user interface that have the ui? What if it is just showing a specific element of user interface, but not promoting the game itself?

Complete misinformation. YOU don’t need to pay for a license fee, Roblox does.
If you do it from a windows device, you are pretty free to use Arial for a lot of things both commercial and non commercial, digital and non digital. But if you want to redistribute the font, which Roblox does, you need to pay.
Roblox needs to at minimum redistribute the font to all devices in which Arial does not come standard. Android is a notable one there, consoles too. They could also need to redistribute it to everyone, to ensure that the version of Arial is always consistent, and not updated when they don’t want it to be. And besides, when you’re already redistributing it, you don’t want to be referencing the font through different methods on different systems.
And then there’s the consideration of font formats, and lots of other things I’m not going to bother touching on.

In my very, very honest opinion, removing these two fonts is a horrible idea. Gotham and Arial are two of the best and most used fonts on the platform. From a graphic designer’s view, I find this removal to be useless. Other sources, mainly the creator documentation say that these two fonts are going to be removed and replaced. I don’t get why it is needed to replace them. It would be a far, far better idea just to deprecate these two fonts. As @matthewleg0 said above, engine issues such as brick shift plague many games. It would also be a good idea to fix such issues.
About Builder:
I understand trying to be uniform on the platform and all, but why? Using Gotham on the platform worked well, it looks inviting and easy to use. So does Source Sans. I also recommend making Builder more spaced out by default. On its own, it looks far too squished. Otherwise, it looks fine. That’s all I have to say. Please consider my suggestions.

I agree, the letters are too close together. I had to zoom in 20% to read without my contacts - was not an issue before this update to ‘increase’ readability lol
