Middlemen are optional. If you feel you need a middleman, then you can request one. If you feel you don’t need/want a middleman then you don’t have to request one. Also, our middlemen go through special training to make sure they know what they’re doing.

There are already a couple large communities similar to this one. They’ve been around for a while and are already popular. I don’t think this will be able to gain that much traction because of these other communities.

Seems like a okay idea. Id highly recommend rethinking the idea because with all the costs involved and the point that you guys dont make much if any profit (Well thats what it seems like from my PoV). You guys would have to pay for hosting costs as well as paying staff and doing giveaways. You could sell advertisements to help pay for that stuff like $5 for an ad without a ping and $10 for an ad with a ping.

Currently, our monthly costs are 14$ a month, for hosting the bot, and for some premium bots, as far as giveaways and events, we mainly use robux donated to us. Our staff members have all agreed that they are volunteering to be in there position.

14 a month is pretty high, unless you’re using canadian dollars. (Digital ocean is not the best hosting site if you want price/power)
Heroku hobby plan is 7$ (Free with cc i think).
Repl.it’s Upper Keeper is 5 (or 7 depending on your deal)$.
AWS Free tier is well free with a cc.
Glitch is free but they don’t allow pinging, so it’s not popular anymore.
And you can find VPS’s for under 5.
As for the group I’m gonna jump on the wagon and say that it’s not going to be much use other than being a place for some beginner to intermediate developers. Dev forums is officially moderated, more secure and has more reach to developers. The only way where it might be more attractive is if you offer more services than the ones you have or improve existing ones (background check done by unpaid volunteers does not inspire confidence).
