A lot of great criticism here, thank you! I will try to address them one by one.
So Drenoketh is a silent hero game, when you talk to a NPC, pretty much all you can do is listen to them. I may eventually add in a couple options that can influence dialogue, so far it has not seemed like it really needed it to me personally, but definitely is something to consider.
Quest dialogue is a huge part of the story telling in Drenoketh, but if you feel like there is too much, you can skip through the dialogue by spamming the interact button. You do not actually have to do the main quest if you do not want to. I highly recommend doing it, but you can explore the world, obtain various armor sets and weapons, fight enemies, and more without doing the main quest. I may look into adding NPC names above the dialogue, that is definitely something to consider.
I am curious as to what you mean by âlacking information and context?â If you mean background information on why youâre in the world, I agree. I have thought about adding a tutorial that would elaborate on that a bit. If it is something else that you are noticing I would be very interested in hearing it. There are also different idle animations, but the differences are very subtle. Adding a bit more personality into the movements of a NPC may be something to look into at some point.
Almost all quests should tell you where to go, either in dialogue or through the questbook. Your map should also have quest markers on it for most quests. Would you mind mentioning the specific quest so that I can look into it?
I can confirm that the aiming is off, and that is not intended. I have actually received some reports of that as well. I will look into this, thank you! In terms of the speed, different laser guns will have different speeds, if you want one that shoots faster, or a laser that travels faster, you will need to obtain it.
Good point. I listen to it with my volume on low, so I have not really noticed this. I will look into it a bit further.
By shift-lock Iâm assuming you mean the third person camera lock? This is the way the game is supposed to be played. I have thought about adding in some way of rotating around your character, so I will probably address this in the future.
No it doesnât. It works in the same manner as a traditional compass, the red half points north. I can look into eventually adding directions around it.
â/â works for me, and I just tested it today, and it still works for me. Would you mind letting me know if it is still occurring? If so, what kind of keyboard and device are you using?
Yes, thank you. Also if you load in after having a different weapon equipped, it wonât save that and youâll have the starter weapon equipped again. Itâs a known bug and I will hopefully fix both of them soon.
It should not become more inaccurate by walking. I will have to investigate this. I do know of one bug, where it will not deal damage if you are next to an enemy while moving back. Is this what you are referring to? If so I hope to fix this soon.
Thank you once again for the criticism! It is very helpful and Iâm always looking to improve. If you have anything to say in response to my comments, please do so, as it will help to further improve Drenoketh, and provide the best user experience. Thank you once again!
