A lot of people in here don’t understand that the Popular sort is not ordered by concurrents.
I for one am thrilled the concurrent ordered sort is back! There’s always the dream to be #1 on that sort and it’s a major motivator when making games!

is this some intern project? lol
this is literally what I did
But shouldn’t the Popular sort be this to begin with? It will basically be roughly the same sort
They’re effectively the same, the only difference is the time interval & window size for sampling (once every 24 hours vs regular poll). CCU vs DAU.
Couldn’t we use a filter based on place visits, CCU, MAU, developer (user/group) or like-dislike ratio? These filters coinciding each other in finding the right experience to enjoy?
Similar to what the marketplace has:
IMO They should swap the names. But they are most definitely not the same sort. I’m honestly baffled at the comments in here that don’t understand this. The Popular sort hasn’t been ordered by player count in years.
Fair enough, but it makes sense for many to be weirded out. For instance, a section on popular games in general and one for most popular can be different in promoting the next best thing; however, it makes sense for promoting popular games twice to be odd.
I guarantee you everyone here understands.
they should include me in the “hot right now” section
Thank you roblox for such innovative feature, I really needed 2 popular tabs in my Charts menu. I would sing about this feature! It’s the most wanted feature by people in Roblox. I really like this feature! It is gonna fight all problems in our dear and best platform in the entire universe and metaverse. Roblox! I really like this feature for making ours life easier, no, FREE! Roblox broke the ultimate standards of limited games, and did AMAZING job in making Hot Right now. If I would knew the one who made this blessing feature, I would pray to him! He is the god of this boring world, and he makes it even BETTER! Thank you roblox for making this best feature for entire 19 years of existence. /s
you gotta make a fourth one, call it “people that are playing right now”
just make it so i cant scroll to favorites no more please bro please
Just because the sorting itself is different doesn’t mean it won’t just be another sort featuring the same games. We’re talking about a sort based on ccus and popular that’s based on daily active users and other similar metrics. What good is a sort that’s slightly different, seems like another lazy Roblox update to me. Should’ve just made Popular based on this to begin with
Honestly, if we want to promote games, it could be possible to have a live-time section for most concurrently played games in certain genres and subgenres. A system like what we are seeing could work if filtered and more visibility is offered.
no, I think they should include me
We already got today’s picks… why add another version of it…?
they should make a section for under 10,000 player games that are growing it will help many new games to get discovered
Great question @GalacticInspired ! Here’s the difference:
Hot Right Now: This chart showcases the top experiences sorted by the number of concurrent users currently active. It reflects what’s popular in real-time.
Most Popular: This chart ranks the top experiences based on the total number of daily users. It indicates what’s consistently popular throughout the day.
You can always see the logic behind each chart by hovering over the information tooltip (the ‘i’ icon) located on the right side of each sort option. This will provide a more detailed explanation directly within the platform.
duplicated feature?
i genuinely couldn’t see the use in this
this is just boosting the already popular games
this isn’t really helping anyone
girl be honest these niche metrics you are going for dont offer anything new to the charts page.
its just the same games in a different order
