Can we all get a little bit of info on this
just Who was this team? Do we have any way to contact them ? and what training did they go through to choose these Genres our games landed in? I’m very curious the Win ration of the selections and how many experiences were used for this testing! Im interested in the big data on this to validate if the winners of this selection are actually performing well vs us that are reporting doing so awful, thanks for any updates!

Wow! My game had the same issue! It went from 1,500,000 roblox recc impressions for 3 consistent months to now 31! I’m not even joking, and I’m trying everything I can to change it!

I cannot seem to edit my game’s genre, why is that?

same here. It’s starting to kill some games, roblox seems to randomly change the audience pushed without changing the genre visible for me (resulting in couple statistics dropping and a pretty big drop in DAU) while the genre stays on N/A

Real… I just released another game it says NA surely going to destroy the game in discovery. Also i love how they said 'you will be able to choose your genre by the end of October" and nothing…

Idk where can i change genre my game, my other game got genre.
Some games have less active players but have genre.
this truly is a “soon” moment…
Does not seem to be, and No activity or responses from the Dev relations team either. Seems we must still wait at the mercy of the Algorithm Best of luck to you all mates!

Good news, now games can finally (hopefully) get out there more!
OK This is news but I dont understand, Why are we not getting this news? and why is nobody from Roblox communicating these changes. Also is anybody else getting this and have to Appeal?

@bballerblox thanks for the update, but I think it’s too extreme to restrict genre changes to once per 3 months. What is the basis for that long of a cooldown?

@bballerblox I still can’t change my Experience Genre.
- the system always overrides my Genre change after 2 days
- the Genre appeal form is 100% broken
Why you make it such a terrible UX? I would like to build more games for Roblox, but it is so God awful to deal with! I really despise doing business with Roblox because of difficulties like this.
Is there a way to search for games by subgenre?
Not yet, you can’t even search up by genre yet. That’s planned to release in near future.
Why bother adding new genres/subgenres when you still can’t even search by the current genres? Makes zero sense, maybe focus on adding some actual search functionality before adding MORE genres lol.
