Introducing New Resources for Creator Programs

Hi Creators!

We’re excited to provide you with an official resource for the various programs we offer Roblox creators. Our programs offer opportunities for creators to gain support, insight, and exposure on the platform.

On our new Creator Programs overview page, you’ll see a list and short description of the programs that are publicly open to creators. Each program also has a live status description, indicating if a program is open, closed, or paused.

When you click into each program page, you’ll find information, such as eligibility requirements and how to participate. We’ll update these pages as needed.

We hope these pages provide you with valuable information and encourage you to get involved - please share it around with other creators!

Thank you,
The Developer Relations Team

FAQ

How do I know if I’m eligible for a program?

  • Each program has different eligibility requirements based on business needs, so please check each individual program page to see details. You can find all programs here.

Can I apply to multiple programs?

  • Yes, you can apply to and be part of multiple programs at once.

I’ve applied to these programs before and have never heard back. What should I do?

  • If you are not selected for a program you’ve applied for, we encourage you to apply again when you have new, significant information to provide (ie. an experience update, a new item, a new experience).

I don’t see a program on here that I’ve heard about from other creators. Why isn’t it listed?

  • We strive to give every qualified creator a chance to join our publicly offered programs. Not all programs we offer are available for all creators to apply to. For programs not listed here, we carefully consider our needs and choose creators accordingly.

Creator Fund is marked as closed, but the chip is still colored green.

Thank you for catching! The status is “open”, so we will fix this to reflect on the main page.

Happy to see an easy way for everything available to devs instead of us having to hunt down and try to find what we want.

I’ve been pushing for something like this for a while with devrel, it’s great to see the team was finally able to get it out! I’m not a fan of certain programs being kept hidden and I think that has unintended consequences, but this is a great first step to increasing transparency & communication about the existing creator-facing programs.

The other day I had a creator reach out to me asking a bunch of questions about the community feedback program, and I had no resource to really link them to outside of a few odd forum posts & surveys to explain program criteria and what it covers. Having this resource to link to them moving forward is helpful!

Agree with the first bit.

Also, side note, you’re a strong member in this community and I highly respect you and your knowledge on these programs. I actively search for things like this, yet I can only go off what is public.

As for the 2nd paragraph, I’ve been trying to get into the community feedback program for 2+ years now. I wish more concrete requirements were shared so that I can work towards that. I’ve spent a lot of time applying over and over. If I’m going to be denied cause I don’t have enough place visits, I’d love to know that BEFORE I send yet another application. I know you don’t have control over that. I guess I’m moreso sharing my annoyance with the system.

I wonder if my active contributions to the creator docs are enough, I might not be that big of a developer but if you want someone with deep technical knowledge of Roblox’s Engine (and somewhat web) APIs then I’m here :3

Plugin developers need their voices heard and I’m willing to nominate myself for that.

I believe certain folks managing this initiative internally are reading this thread, so putting your feedback / thoughts here is super important!

Agreed on more granular requirements, the programs doc could definitely use more info like that. One thing to note though, is that some program requirements aren’t entirely based on objective requirements. The CF program, to my knowledge, doesn’t have a specific number they look at when determining if someone can enter or not. It’s more of a holistic check - checking a creator’s activities within the community, checking the experiences they’ve worked on (numbers, type of experience, is it an educational one etc), checking how long they’ve been on the platform, etc. So I’m not sure how granular those kinds of programs could get without limiting the types of creators that can enter said program.

Having some kind of feedback message upon program denial (even if semi automated) would be great. “You were not accepted into the program at this time, here’s why” saves a lot of time and grief, and can also save a lot of frustration from building up. E.g. being told “you were not accepted as you do not have sufficient experience with modeling based on your provided works” is pretty concise and highlights an area where you can improve if you genuinely do have a passion for that area.

Worth noting though, some of these programs are comparatively small (only 1-5 staff running it), so application volume vs people handling those applications isn’t always balanced. Ideally there’d be more staff to support the increased application demand.

Developer Awards Program is absolutely not open…

I’m still waiting on about 5 dev bags and about 20 trophies for over 2 years at this point.

Thank you for these opportunities :slightly_smiling_face:.

Before applying, is there anyone I could contact for questions regarding some of the programs?

Are there any programs currently to help connect UGC creators with brands? The two branded programs seems more targeted towards game integration.

FWIW that program is on its way out, so marking it as closed isn’t entirely inaccurate.

Thanks for your question! Many folks work across these programs, but you can search for the program in the Developer Forum, and if you see a post, you can reply to the thread with any questions.
